About the Event

European Banking Forum Capabilities

Date: NOV 4, 2020 TO NOV 5, 2020
Time: Full Day
LOCATION: VIRTUAL EVENT

An important addition to every banking executive’s calendar, the European Banking Forum brings together innovation leaders, technology providers and startups with fresh approaches to assess how the best in class lead the charge. Now in a virtual format, the event will provide two days of insight, discussion, networking and knowledge-sharing, with fresh perspectives and in-depth explorations of case studies.

Infosys Finacle will be presenting on the topic of Digital Engagement and Core Banking Renewal on 5 November at 12:45 GMT. James Buckley, VP & Head of Europe will be covering:

“Whilst banks are continuing to respond to the pressures of regulatory and customer-driven market changes, along now with the COVID pandemic – shifting legacy code to modern digital core technologies has accelerated even further”.

Infosys Finacle will be covering this, along with:

  • Managing cost – is more important than ever given low industry return on equity (ROE). Yet technical overheads in legacy systems consumes large chunks of IT spend which continue to keep costs higher than necessary.
  • Open Banking – introduces a fresh set of challenges. In the current Open Banking scenario, it has become clear that fintechs are becoming partners of established banks. Having an API layer is no longer a nice to have but a requirement for PSD2. So how can banks take advantage of these communities if their underlying technology does not allow them to do so?
  • Quicker time to market – being able to launch products quickly is a critical competitive differentiator. Faster product delivery is still riddled and held back by monolithic architectures and manual delivery processes.
  • Personalization – customers increasingly expect a personalized experience. But banks often store data in multiple product-aligned core systems, which restricts providing to individual needs.
  • Industry ecosystems – partnerships are even more important in creating the products and services what customers expect in the future. However, the current architectures lack the connectivity in areas to third parties that would enable this innovation.

Finacle will be present throughout the two days at our virtual booth. We look forward to meeting you and discussing the digital journey for your financial institution.
