Balance is key and our recommendation is a ‘Renew and New’ strategy to achieve Truly digital banking. Focusing entirely on adding digital capabilities at the customer interface without connecting them back to the core would create a short-term tactical advantage at best. On the other hand, reengineering the core without adequately digitalizing customer-facing systems will severely impede innovation.
